DOH, tiniyak na walang kakulangan sa suplay ng Paracetamol at iba pang gamot sa bansa
Kinonsulta ng Department of Health (DOH) ang malalaking drugstore at local manufacturers at suppliers ukol sa suplay ng produkto.
Kumakalat kasi ang mga ulat na nagkakaroon ng kakulangan sa suplay ng Paracetamol at iba pang gamot para sa flu-like symptoms.
“The DOH would like to assure the public that while there is an observed increased demand for such products, there is no ongoing shortage in the Philippines,” saad ng kagawaran.
Sinabi pa ng DOH na maraming generic alternatives ang Paracetamol sa merkado, na maaring mabili sa mga drugstore sa bansa.
Siniguro ng kagawaran na tinututukan nila ang estado ng suplay ng critical medicines para sa COVID-19, kasama ang supportive medicines para sa symptomatic treatment.
Dagdag nito, patuloy silang nakikipag-ugnayan sa lahat ng ahensya ng gobyerno, tulad ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), upang masiguro ang health products para sa pagresponde sa gitna ng pandemya.
Apela naman ng DOH sa publiko, iwasan ang hoarding, panic-buying o pagbili ng gamot kung hindi naman kinakailangan.
