“The money is for the insurance coverage of millions of so-called indirect contributors, including indigent citizens, the elderly and unemployed persons with disability,” pahayag nito.

Dagdag ng mambabatas, kasama ang P79,990,995,000 halaga ng PhilHealth subsidy sa susunod na taon sa P5.024-2022 national budget.
Maliban sa annual budgetary support, magkokolekta rin aniya ang PhilHealth ng humigit-kumulang P100 bilyon mula sa milyun-milyong manggagawa sa pribado at pampublikong sektor.
“So the state health insurer will have more than P180 billion next year for health services for its members,” saad ni Defensor.
Hinikayat naman nito ang insurer at mga ospital na ayusin ang mga gusot sa pamamagitan ng dayalogo.
Ani Defensor, dapat madaliin ng PhilHealth ang pagbabayad sa legitimate claims habang nagbabantay laban sa mga kwestyunable at mapanlinlang na submission.
“This has been a recurring problem. The two sides should agree on a common solution that protects the interests of honest health facilities and medical practitioners, on one hand, and taxpayers and Philhealth members, on the other,” saad nito.
