Higit 3,000 illegal aliens, napa-deport ng BI sa taong 2021
Napa-deport ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang humigit-kumulang 3,000 illegal aliens sa taong 2021.
Lumabas sa datos ng BI Deportation and Implementation Unit (DIU) na umabot sa kabuuang 3,142 dayuhan ang napa-deport mula January hanggang November 2021.
Karamihan sa naturang datos ay mga Chinese na may bilang na 2,875, sumunod ang 90 Koreans, 81 na Vietnamese, 27 na Japanese, habang 19 naman ang Americans.
Sinabi ni BI Commissioner Jaime Morente na sa kabila ng pandemya, patuloy ang pagpapauwi sa mga dayuhang lumabas sa Philippine Immigration Act.
“The pandemic will not be a hindrance in cleansing our country of these illegal aliens,” pahayag nito.
Dagdag nito, “Foreigners who blatantly violate our laws will be deported and blacklisted.”
