PNP, makikipagtulungan sa mga barangay sa crackdown vs firework violators
Makikipagtulungan ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa mga opisyal ng barangay at iba pang village peacekeepers kaugnay ng firecracker ban violators.
“The Barangay and local PNP units’ partnership will ensure that there is proper enforcement of local Executive Orders and a strong system of shared responsibility,” paliwanag ni PNP Chief Police General Dionardo Carlos.
Dagdag nito, “Their presence can expand our monitoring deployment. They serve as our lookout in our blindspot areas.”
Nakapaloob sa Executive Order 28 na maging maayos ang paggawa, pagbebenta, at paggamit ng paputok at iba pang pyrotechnic devices, ngunit binigyan ng awtoridad ang local government units na ipagbawal ang paputok sa holiday season.
Ilang LGU na ang nagpahiwatig na ng intensyon na mahinto ang naturang tradisyon at sa halip, hikayatin ang publiko na gumamit ng ligtas na alternatibong paraan ng selebrasyon sa Bagong Taon.
