May pamasko si Aksyon Demokratiko presidential candidate at Manila Mayor Isko Moreno para sa mga job order workers, contract of service at iba pang casual employees ng lungsod.
Ito ay dahil sa nilagdaan na ni Moreno ang Ordinance Number 8797 na nagbibigay ng P5,000 financial assistance o cash gift sa mga manggagawa.
Ayon kay Moreno, aabot sa P51,150,000 ang inilaang pondo.
Kasabay nito, inaprubahan na rin ni Moreno ang 2022 budget para sa special education fund na nagkakahalaga ng P2,556,546,510.
Kabilang sa mga paglalaanan ng pondo ang reconstruction ng Ramon Magsaysay High School sa Espana St., Sampaloc District.
Sa ilalim ng plano, ipatatayo ang 10-story building na mayroong 232 silid aralan.
Ang Ramon Magsaysay High School ay ang nangungunang secondary school sa Manila at may pinakamaraming estudyante.
“I always wanted the best for our people. It doesn’t have to be bigger but better in terms of facilities. This type of school will be built as if this is a private school. Dapat ito ang maging model ng private education system,” pahayag ni Moreno.
Nakapaloob din sa pondo ang pagpapalawig ng load allowance ng mga estudyante at guro.
“We are ahead of our time again which is good. Rest assured that we will continue to address the future of the education of our students in the city,” pahayag ni Moreno.
