P10 bilyong pondo ipang-aayuda ni Pangulong Duterte sa mga nasalanta ng Bagyong Odette

Sampung bilyong pisong pondo ang pinagsusumikapan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na malikom para ipang-ayuda sa mga nabiktima ng Bagyong Odette.
Ayon kay Cabinet Secretary at acting presidential spokesman Carlo Nograles, ginawa ng Pangulo ang pahayag matapos ang pagbisita kahapon sa Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
“President Duterte also vowed to raise additional funds, estimated at P10-Billion, for the rehabilitation and recovery efforts in the typhoon-affected areas,” pahayag ni Nograles.
Binigyan ng situation briefing kahapon ni Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte matapos ang aerial inspection kasama si Senador Bong Go.
Ayon kay Nograles, agad na inatasan ng Pangulo ang ibat-ibang tanggapan ng pamahalaan na tugunan ang pangangailangan ng local government units ng Negros Occidental at Negros Oriental.
Ayon kay Nograles, patuloy na magbibigay ng family food packs, tubig at shelter assistance ang Department of Social Welfare and Development para sa mga nawalan ng tahanan.
Pangalawa, ayon kay Nograles, magbibigay ang Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development at National Housing Authority para sa mga residente na nasira ang bahay na partially at totally damaged.
Imomonitor aniya ng Department of Trade and Industry ang ulat na may pagtataas ng presyo ng gasolina pati na ng mga generators. Nabatid na domoble na ang presyo ng gasolina at generator sa lugar.
Magbibigay din aniya ang Department of Agriculture ng agricultural assistance sa mga magsasaka at manginngisdang naapektuhan ng bagyo.
Ayon kay Nograles, ipamimigay at gagawing materyales sa paggawa ng bahay ng Department of Public Works and Highways ang mga natumbang puno.
Double time aniya ang Department of Energy sa pagbabalikng suplay ng kuryente sa lalong madaling panahon.
Double time din aniya ang Department of Information and Communications Technology para maibalik ang linya ng komunikasyon at internet sa mga lugar na naapektuhan ng bagyo.
“In addition to these directives, the Chief Executive gave instructions to immediately complete the construction of the Kabankalan airstrip,” pahayag ni Nograles.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected by this natural calamity. We thank our people for showcasing the Filipino bayanihan spirit in helping our kababayans in this time of great need. We likewise express our sincere gratitude to our friends in the international community and partners for their show of support, solidarity, and readiness to extend assistance to the Philippines,” dagdag ni Nograles.
