Sen. Lacson, inayawan ang ‘calamity politics’

Naging mapait sa panlasa ni Senator Panfilo Lacson ang ginawang panawagan ng kapwa presidential aspirant na si Senator Manny Pacquiao na magkaisa ang mga kandidato sa pagtulong sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong Odette.

Ayon kay Lacson, kung hindi na idinadaan sa media ni Pacquiao ang panawagan, maari aniyang tumugon pa siya at ibinahagi kung anuman ang kanyang maitutulong.

“Since it was done through the media – it goes against my principled belief that “calamity politics” is the lowest form of campaigning. In fact I consider it abominable,” sabi pa ni Lacson.

Aniya, sa mga nakalipas na kalamidad, tumulong ang kanyang opisina, kaibigan at tagasuporta sa mga biktima nang hindi ipinapaalam sa media.

Ginawa aniya nila ito sa Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region at iba pang mga lugar na labis na nasalanta ng malalakas na bagyo.

“Election or no election, we assist and help. Period,” diin ni Lacson.
