Bagong train sets para sa MRT-7, nakatakdang pasinayaan

Nakatakdang pasinayaan nina Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at Transportation Secretary Art Tugade ang bagong train sets para sa Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7) project sa araw ng Huwebes, December 16.

Sa ngayon, anim na train set o 18 na rail cars sa 108 na rail cars ang naipadala na sa bansa.

Aabot sa 36 train sets o 108 rail cars para sa buong MRT-7 system.

Gagamit ang MRT-7 trains ng “third rail” electrification system.

Target na masimulan ang partial operations ng naturang proyekto sa April 2022, habang ang passenger operations naman sa December 2022.

Oras na makumpleto, maikokonekta ng 22-kilometer railway ang North Avenue, Quezon City at San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

Sa pamamagitan nito, magiging 35 minuto na lamang ang biyahe sa pagitan ng Quezon City at San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

Inaasahan ding maseserbisyuhan nito ang 38,000 pasahero tuwing peak hours kada araw.

Bahagi ang MRT-7 project ng “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure development program ng administrasyong Duterte na layong mabawasan ang pagsisikip ng trapiko at mapalago ang ekonomiya ng bansa.
