Palasyo, tiniyak na mahigpit na tinututukan ang dalawang kaso ng Omicron variant sa bansa

Mahigpit na naka-monitor ang Palasyo ng Malakanyang sa dalawang biyahero na nag-positibo sa Omicron variant ng COVID-19 sa bansa.

Ito ang tiniyak ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang matapos kumpirmahin ng Department of Health (DOH) na nakapasok na sa bansa ang Omicron variant.

Ayon kay Cabinet Secretary at acting presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles, patunay ito na naging epektibo ang Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate strategy ng pamahalaan.

Pinakakalma ng Palasyo ang publiko na mahigpit na binabantayan ng pamahalaan ang dalawang kaso.

Umaapela ang Palasyo sa taong bayan na manatiling alerto at sumunod sa health protocols na itinakda ng pamahalaan.

“We assure our people that we will closely monitor developments of the two cases in light of existing protocols, as we continue to remind the public not to let their guard down, to religiously observe minimum public health standards, and call upon all those unvaccinated to get their jabs as soon as possible,” pahayag ni Nograles.

Kasabay nito, pinuri ng Palasyo ang DOH, University of the Philippines –Philippine Genome Center at University of the Philippines – National Institutes of Health dahil sa magaang pagkaka-detect ng Omicron variant.

Sa kasalukuyan, ginagawa na aniya ng pamahalaan ang contact tracing sa mga pasaherong nakasalumuha ng dalawang nagpositibo sa Omicron variant.

Una rito, sinabi ng DOH na galing sa Japan at Nigeria ang dalawang biyahero na nagpositibo sa Omicron variant.
