Kusang loob na nagbitiw sa kanyang puwesto si Col. Harold Cabunoc bilang hepe ng Public Affairs Office (PAO) ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Ginawa ni Cabunoc ang pagbibitiw isang araw matapos na maitalaga bilang bagong Chief of Staff ng Hukbong Sandatahan si Lt. Gen. Hernando Iriberri.
Sa kanyang statement na nakuha ng Radyo Inquirer, sinabi ni Cabunoc na tinanggap ni Iriberri ang kanyang resignation. “I have volunteered to vacate my post as Chief, PAO in order to allow the new CSAFP to select a new set of talking heads. He has approved my request.”
Si Lt. Col. Noel Detoyato ang papalit kay Cabunoc bilang Chief-PAO ng AFP.
Si Cabunoc ay itatalaga sa isang special project sa Davao na tungkol sa kapakanan ng mga Indigenous People o IP Communities. /Arlyn Dela Cruz
