Umurong na rin sa pagkandidato sa pagka-senador si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Ito ay matapos magtungo sa tanggapan ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) si Pangulong Duterte para maghain ng withdrawal of candidacy.

Base sa litrato ni Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez, kasama ng Pangulo na nagtungo sa Comelec si Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.

Matatandaang Martes ng umaga (December 14), naghain na rin ng withdrawal of candidacy sa pagka-pangulo ng bansa si Senador Christopher “Bong” Go.
