2022 budget ng DepEd mas mataas ng 6%

Matagumpay na naipaliwanag ng Department of Education (DepEd) sa Senado ang mas mataas na hinihinging pondo para sa susunod na taon.

Ayon kay Education Secretary Leonor Briones ang P629.8 bilyon pondo na hiningi nila para sa susunod na taon ay mas mataas ng 6%  sa natanggap nilang P595 bilyon ngayon taon.

Aniya kinilala ng mga senador ang pangangailangan para mapalawak pa ang ligtas na face-to-face classes at ito ay nangangailangan ng karagdagang pagpopondo.

“On behalf of the DepEd family, we thank and welcome our senators’ inputs for effectively allocating these funds that will surely build upon our capacity to provide the needs of our learners and teachers especially that we are gradually reopening the schools,” sabi pa ni Briones.

Ilan lamang sa nadagdagan ang pondo ay ang Computerization Program, Government Assistance and Subsidies, kung saan nakapaloob ang voucher program para sa Senior High School.

Mula sa P7.61 bilyon tumaas din sa P8.09 bilyon ang pondo ng General Management and Supervision, kung saan hinuhugot ang pondo para ligtas na pagkasa ng face-to-face classes sa susunod na taon
