CHR, biktima rin ng online delivery scam

Biktima rin ang Commission on Human Rights (CHR) ng online delivery scam.

Ayon kay Atty. Jacqueline Ann de Guia, tagapagsalita ng CHR, ilang negosyo ang tumawag sa kanila para sa food deliveries noong November 22 kahit wala sa mga empleyado ng ahensya ang nag-book o nag-order.

Nakapangalan aniya ang food delivery sa isa sa mga CHR Commissioner at ginamit ang kanilang hotline number at public email address bilang contact details.

“We sternly warn those who are thinking of doing the same and/or repeating this act that CHR will not hesitate in taking legal action to put this malicious act to a halt,” saad ni de Guia.

Nakikipag-ugnayan na aniya ang CHR sa mga awtoridad at magsasagawa ng imbestigasyon sa naturang insidente.

“We hope that instigators of scams and pranks can also bear in mind the welfare of workers who are equally trying to strive and survive during this pandemic,” aniya.

Dagdag nito, “Let us not use the struggles of other as objects of ridicule and entertainment.”

Hinikayat nito ang publiko na ipagpatuloy ang pagtutulungan sa pagpapatibay ng mga karapatan at dignidad ng lahat.
