Pagbibigay ng 10-year driver’s license pinahihigpitan ni Sen. Tito Sotto
Suportado ni Senate President Vicente Sotto III ang mas mahigpit na alintuntunin para sa 10-year driver’s license.
Ito naman aniya ay para matiyak na ang lisensiya ay maibibigay lamang sa tunay na kuwalipikadong driver.
Dapat aniya sapat ang kakayahan sa pagmamaneho, may sapat na kaalaman sa road safety at alam ang mga tamang kortesiya sa pagmamaneho.
“I don’t mind, I wish they would have done this a long time ago,” aniya sa kanyang pagsuporta sa mas mahabang bisa ng lisensiya sa pagmamaneho.
Naibahagi niya na sa kanyang pagtataya, kung mahigpit lamang na ipapatupad ang exam sa mga kumukuha ng lisensiya, 40 porsiyento lang sa 16,671,295 drivers sa bansa ang makakapasa.
“You can see how the other drivers drive? They would not pass the exam. But perhaps, if an applicant has no violation, then the 15-hour theoretical driving course could be lessened,” sabi pa ni Sotto.
