2 Filipino supply ships ‘binomba’ ng Chinese Coast Guard sa Ayungin Shoal

Pinalagan ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., ang pagharang at pagbomba ng tubig ng Chinese Coast Guard vessels sa dalawang supply boats na nasa resupply mission sa Ayungin Shoal.

Sa inilabas na pahayag ng DFA, ibinahagi ni Locsin na nagpadala na siya ng ‘letter of protest’ sa Chinese foreign Ministry sa Beijing at kay Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian para kondenahin ang naging aksyon ng Chinese Coast Guard.

“I reminded China that a public vessel is covered by the Philippines-United States Mutual Defense Treaty,” diin nito.

Base sa ulat ng AFP – Western Command, patungo sa Ayungin Shoal at dalawang sasakyang-pandagat para maghatid ng suplay sa mga tauhan ng Philippine Marinesna nagbabantay sa isla nang maganap ang insidente.

Bunga ng aksyon ng tatlong Chinese Coast Guard vessels, napaatras ang dalawang Filipino supply ships at hindi na itinuloy ang kanilang misyon.

“The acts of the Chinese Coast Guard vessels are illegal. China has no law enforcement rights in and around these areas. They must take the heed and back off!’ diin ni Locsin, na iginiit na ang Ayungin Shoal ay bahagi ng Kalayaan Island Group na malinaw na sakop ng teritoryo ng Pilipinas.

Wala naman nasaktan sa insidente, base na rin sa ulat ng AFP.
