Top NPA commander, 5 iba pa nahuli sa Quezon City, Bulacan
Anim na matataas na opisyal ng New People’s Army (NPA) ang magkakahiwalay na naaresto ng AFP sa Quezon City at Bulacan.
Sinabi ni AFP Northern Luzon Command (Nolcom) commander, Lt. Gen. Arnulfo Burgos Jr., si Gil Peralta, alias Elmo, ang kalihim ng Komiteng Rehiyon – Cagayan Valley ay naaresto sa Barangay Mariblo sa Quezon City.
Samantala, magkakasama naman sina Irene Agcaoili, Lourdes Bulan, Arcadio Tangonan, alias Bonel, at alias Bebang nang matunton sa Barangay San Vicente sa Sta. Maria, Bulacan.
Narekober sa kanila ang isang M16 Armalite rifle, tatlong .45 pistols, limang anti-personnel mine at tatlong Granada.
Nabatid na sina Peralta, Agcaoilo at Bulan ay pawang may warrants of arrest para sa mga kasong murder, multiple murder, multiple attempted murder, arson, at robbery.
Sinabi ni Burgos na ginagawa na nila ang lahat para tuluyang mabura sa North at Central Luzon ang mga rebelde.
