Babae na tumanggap ng P3.3-M halaga ng ecstacy, nahuli sa Rizal
Nahuli ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA (BOC-NAIA) at NAIA-Inter-agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) ang isang babae na tumanggap ng P3.3 milyong halaga ng ecstacy tablets sa Taytay, Rizal araw ng Martes (November 16).
Nagmula ang shipment sa Germany at naka-consign sa isang “Heart Valerine Garcia Cruz” na may address sa Taytay.
Unang idineklara ang shipment bilang wedding dress ngunit nang isailalim sa eksaminasyon ng BOC-NAIA personnel, nadiskubre ang kabuuang 1,993 tablets ng ecstasy party drugs na may estimated market value na P3,388,100.
Dinala ang mga ilegal na droga sa PDEA para sa mas malalim na imbestigasyon.
Posible ring magsampa ng kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Drugs Act at Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
Bilang bahagi ng pangako sa direktiba ni BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, patuloy ang matibay na pakikipag-ugnayan ng BOC-NAIA sa iba pang miyembro ng NAIA-IADITG para sa border security efforts.
