Mga magsasaka sa Camarines Sur binigyan ng DAR ng solar-powered irrigation system

Limang agrarian reform beneficiary organization ang binigyan ng Department of Agrarian Reform ng solar-powered irrigation system sa Camarines Sur.
Ayon kay DAR-Camarines Sur II Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Maria Gracia Sales, ibinigay ang ayuda sa Hibago Farmers Irrigators’ Association (HFIA) sa Hibago, Ocampo, Bagong Sirang Farmers Cooperative (BSFC) sa Bagong Sirang, Pili, Vegetable Growers Association of ARBs Libod-Tinawagan (VeGAT) sa Libod, Tigaon, Siembre Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization (SARBO) sa Siembre, Bombon at Pag-iribang Paraoma asin Parasira sa Haponan, Gogon asin Daraga (PPPHaGoDa) sa Caramoan, Camarines Sur.
Ayon kay Sales, ang pagtatayo ng SPIS ay magsusulong ng pag-unlad ng moderno, naaangkop, sulit sa halaga, at ligtas sa kapaligiran na makinarya at kagamitan upang maging produktibo at maayos ang pagsasaka.
“Ang pasilidad ay nagkakahalaga ng PHP861,488.50 kada yunit at binubuo ng 12 panel na may 330W na kapasidad kada panel, 2 yunit na elevated polyethylene (PE) tank na may 2 cubic meters capacity kada yunit at 2.3 Hp submersible pump,” pahayag ni Sales.
Layunin ng proyekto na bawasan ang production cost at greenhouse gas (GHG) emission at pataasin ang ani at kita ng mga magsasaka mula sa root crops, palay at produksyon ng gulay.
