Mga magbebenta sa bazaar, tiangge sa NCR dapat fully vaccinated vs COVID-19 – MMDA

Binuo ng Metro Manila mayors ang mga panuntunan para sa mga magbebenta sa Christmas bazaars at iba pang seasonal markets sa National Capital Region kasabay ng nalalapit na holiday season.

Ayon kay Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Benhur Abalos, pumayag ang mga alkalde na ipatupad ang unified standard sa pagsasagawa ng bazaars, tiangges, at pop-up stores.

Marami na kasing establisimyento ang pinapayagang mag-operate kasunod ng pagbaba sa Alert Level 2 ng Metro Manila.

Base sa MMDA Resolution No. 21-27, dapat fully vaccinated laban sa COVID-19 ang lahat ng traders, salespersons, exhibitors, organizers, at iba pang personnel bago ang pagsasagawa ng Christmas bazaars, tiangges, at pop-up stores.

“These will help reduce risk of transmitting the virus since they are seasonal in nature and sellers come from various parts of the country making contract tracing difficult on the part of the local government units,” pahayag ni Abalos.

Dagdag nito, “We want to avoid a repeat of the polio outbreak in the country which happened last September 2019 where these seasonal stores are identified as significant contributors in its spread.”

Iginiit ni Abalos na mapanganib din ang COVID-19 tulad ng polio kung kaya’t kailangang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng mga economic frontliner.

Tatagal ang Alert Level 2 sa Metro Manila hanggang November 21.
