Budget ng NTF – ELCAC ilipat sa 4Ps, hirit ni Sen. Leila de Lima
Pinapurihan ni Senator Leila de Lima ang kanyang mga kapwa senador na nagawang mailipat ang pondo ng National Task Force to End Local Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF – ELCAC).
Aniya makakabuti na ang tinapyas na pondo ng kontrobersyal na tanggapan ay inilipat para sa mga pangangailangan sa pagtugon ng gobyerno sa pandemya.
“The government has been so obsessed with funding its so-called ‘anti-insurgency’ program at the expense of our survival amid the pandemic,” sabi ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Social Justice.
Aniya ginagamit lamang ang bilyong pisong pondo ng task force para lalo lamang maghasik ng lagim sa gitna ng krisis pangkalusugan.
Pagdidiin pa ni de Lima sa kanyang palagay ay ‘zero budget’ pa ang NTF -ELCAC sa katuwiran na, “napupunta lang naman sa red tagging at witchhunt. Defund the NTF-ELCAC and realign its budget to the pandemic response, and social amelioration programs, such as the 4Ps.”
