Sen. Sonny Angara pinuri ni Sen. Frank Drilon sa pagtapyas sa pondo ng NTF – ELCAC
Napabilib ni Senator Sonny Angara si Minority Leader Frank Drilon sa desisyon na tapyasan ang 2022 budget ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
Humingi ang NTF – ELCAC ng P28 bilyon na pondo para sa susunod na taon ngunit ibinababa ito ni Angara sa P4 bilyon.
Si Angara ang namumuno sa Senate Committee on Finance.
Sinabi ni Drilon na tama lamang ang ginawa ni Angara dahil malaking bahagi ng ibinawas sa pondo ng NTF – ELCAC ay inilipat sa mga programa na tutugon sa kasalukuyang pandemya.
“The priority of the budget should be the health sector. Hence, I fully support the position of Sen. Angara on the reduction of the NTF-ELCAC budget,” sabi ni Drilon.
Nabanggit din ng senador na may bahagi pa naman ang NTF-ELCAC sa pondo ng ibang ahensiya.
