Election related incidents, 15 patay, 9 sugatan
Kabuuang labing limang tao ang nasawi habang siyam ang sugatan dahil sa election-related incidents sa panahon ng kampanya, ayon sa Philippine National Police.
Sa inilabas na data ng PNP, ang naturang bilang ay naitala mula nang mag-umpisa ang election period noong January 10, 2016.
Sinabi ng PNP na nasa 146 ang kabuuang violent incidents sa buong Pilipinas, mula January 10 hanggang May 08.
Pero mula sa 146, dalawampu’t walo lamang ang validated na election-related incidents habang animnapung insidente ay non-election-related incidents at limampu’t walo ay suspected election-related incidents.

– Central Luzon (5)
– Central Visayas (4)
– Cagayan Valley (4)
– CALABARZON (4)
– Ilocos Region (3)
– Northern Mindanao (2)
– Metro Manila (2)
– Zamboanga Peninsula (1)
– Bicol Region (1)
– SOCCSKASARGEN (1)
– At Cordillera Administrative Region (1).
Samantala, ini-ulat ni PNP Spokesperson Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor na labing dalawang indibidwal na ang naaresto dahil sa paglabag sa election liquor ban.
Ang liquor ban ay nag-umpisa ngayong araw, at magtatapos sa hating-gabi ng May 9.
