DepEd nabigyan ng ‘5 star’ rating sa pagkasa ng COVID-19 learning system

Kabilang ang Pilipinas sa limang bansa na nakatanggap ng five-star rating mula sa United Nation International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) sa usapin ng pagtugon sa mga hamon sa sistemang pang-edukasyon sa gitna ng pandemya.

Nabatid na 67 bansa ang sumailalim sa pagsusuri ng UNICEF ukol sa Remote Learning Readiness Index (RLRI), na bagong sukatan para sa kahandaan ng mga bansa na magkasa ng ‘remote learning system’ bunga ng pagsasara ng mga paaralan.

Sa inilathalang Ensuring Equal Access to Education in Future Crises: Findings of the New Remote Learning Readiness Index, ‘five star rating’ din ang nakuha ng Argentina, Barbados at Jamaica.

Pinuri ng UNICEF ang maayos na pagtugon ng Department of Education (DepEd) para mapaghandaan at maikasa ng maayos ang remote learning system.

Sa inilabas na pahayag ng kagawaran, pinasalamatan nito ang UNICEF, gayundin ang mga guro, magulang at mag-aaral sa pakikiisa sa ‘blended learning system.’
