Bilang ng nakumpletong airport projects sa bansa, umabot na sa 227
Sa ilalim na pamumuno ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Art Tugade, umabot na sa 227 ang bilang ng airport projects na nakumpleto ng kagawaran, kasama ang Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), at Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA).
Layon nitong mapalakas ang air connectivity at mobility sa buong bansa.
Ilan sa mga natapos na proyekto ang terminal 2 ng Clark International Airport, Bohol-Panglao International Airport, Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Bicol International Airport, CNS/ATM, at airport projects sa Calbayog, Camiguin, Siquijor, Kalibo, Tuguegarao, Catarman, San Vicente sa Palawan, at iba pa.
Ayon sa DOTr, testamento ito sa kanilang pagsunod sa mandato na mas mapalapit ang mga Filipino sa bawat isa.
Kamakailan, pinasinayaan ng kagawaran ang Butuan Airport, Catarman Airport Rehabilitation Project, ang General Santos International Airport, at Zamboanga Airport.
