Special non-working holiday, idineklara ng Palasyo sa Quezon province sa Nov. 4

Idineklara ng Palayso ng Malakanyang na special non-working holiday ang November 4 sa Quezon province.

Ito ay para bigyang daan ang paggunita sa kabayanihan at kamatayan ng local hero na si Apolinario de la Cruz o mas kilala bilang “Hermano Puli.”

Base sa Proclamation 1233 na nilagdaan ni Exevutive Secretary Salvador Medialdea noong October 26, sinabi nito na marapat lamang na bigyan ng sapat na pagkilala ang ipinamalas na kabayanihan ni Hermano Puli.

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the province of Quezon be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to community quarantine, social distancing, and other public health measures,” pahayag ni Medialdea

Ipinanganak si Hermano Puli noong July 22, 1816 sa Lucban, Quezon.

Nais sana ni Hermano Puli na maging pari pero hindi pinayagan ng Spanish friars dahil sa pagiging native o Indio.
