Pangulong Duterte, pangungunahan ang inagurasyon ng pitong seaport projects sa Bohol

Nakatakdang pangunahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, kasama sina Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Art Tugade at Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago, ang simultaneous inauguration ng pitong seaport projects sa Bohol sa Biyernes, October 29.

Nakumpleto na ang pitong seaport projects sa Tagbilaran, Jagna, Ubay, Tapal, Talibon, Loon, at Maribojoc Ports.

Natapos ang konstruksyon ng dagdag na fastcraft berth ng Port of Tagbilaran, na nagsisilbing pangunahing gateway ng Bohol sa nalalabing parte ng Visayas at Mindanao, noong June 2021.

Kaya na ring makadaong ng mas malalaking barko sa Port of Jagna, na nagkokonekta sa mainland Cebu at Camiguin, dahil sa pinatibay na concrete wharf o deck noong July 2021.

Sa Port of Ubay, natapos na ang pinatibay na concrete pier na kayang ma-accommodate ang medium-sized conventional at Ro-Ro vessels.

Kumpleto na rin ang back-up area at Ro-Ro ramp ng Tapal Port.

Ilang rehabilitation projects din ang isinagawa sa Port of Talibon, kabilang ang Ro-Ro ramp, covered walkway, at security fence para sa kaginhawaan ng mga mangangalakal at pasahero.

Tapos na rin ang Passenger Terminal Building sa Port of Loon.

Noong June 2021 naman natapos ang Maribojoc Rehabilitation and Expansion Project. Nasira ang pantalan dahil sa tumamang malakas na lindol sa Bohol noong 2013.

Bahagi ang naturang port projects sa 472 commercial at social-tourism port projects na nakumpleto ng DOTr at PPA simula nang maupo ang administrasyong Duterte.
