Dating Sen. Bongbong Marcos pinaboran ang water impounding facility sa mga magsasaka
Sinabi ni dating Senator Bongbong Marcos na sa kanyang palagay mas makakabuti ang pagpapatayo ng water impounding facilities para sa pangangailangan sa irigasyon ng mga magsasaka sa halip na magpatayo ng mga bagong dam.
Aniya mas malaki ang gagastusin at mas matagal ang pagpapatayo ng dam at ang kailangan ng mga magsasaka ay mabilisang solusyon sa kanilang problema sa patubig.
“Trying to solve the issue of irrigation by building dams would be more costly and time-consuming. The need for better irrigation is immediate and therefore calls for a solution that would be faster to deploy. That is why I believe that water impounding facilities fit this requirement,” sabi pa nito.
Naniniwala aniya siya na magagawang magkaroon ng patubig sa mga irrigable areas at diin ni Marcos napakahalaga ng irigasyon sa sektor ng agrikultura at mga programang pang-agrikultural.
