P2.26 bilyong halaga ng agricultural products nasira dahil sa Bagyong Maring
Umabot na sa P2.26 bilyong halaga ng produktong agrikultural ang nasira sa nagdaang Bagyong Maring.
Ayon sa Department of Agriculture, aabot sa 79,000 na magsasaka, mangingisda at backyard livestock at poultry raisers ang naapektuhan ng bagyo.
Karamihan sa mga naapektuhan ang mga galing sa Cordillera, Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, at Socckskargen.
Ayon sa DA, aabot sa 105,943 metric tons (MT) ng palay. mais, at high value crops ang nasira.
Naglaan na ang DA ng P1.5 bilyon na pondo para ipang-ayuda sa mga magsasaka at mangingisda.
