Comelec, magsasagawa ng voting simulation para sa 2022 elections

Magsasagawa ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) ng voting simulation sa San Juan Elementary School sa Sabado, October 23.

Bahagi ang aktibidad ng paghahanda para sa 2022 National and Local Elections.

Sa naturang aktibidad, gagamit ng apat na silid-aralan bilang polling precincts, tatlo bilang holding areas na may 4,235 na test voters.

Tatagal ang voting simulation simula 8:00 ng umaga hanggang 4:00 ng hapon.

Ayon sa Comelec, layon ng aktibidad na madetermina ang average time frame ng verification process sa pagtukoy ng mga botante sa Election Day Computerized Voting List (EDCVL) base sa 800 registered voters kada clustered precinct, upang makabuo ng panukala para mapabilis ang proseso ng beripikasyon sa May 9, 2022.

Layon din nitong matukoy ang mga posibleng maging problema sa verification process habang isinasaalang-alang ang minimum health and safety protocols.

Ayon pa sa Comelec, layon nitong makapag-isip ng mga hakbang para hindi dumugin ng mga botante ang polling precincts.

Lahat ng mapapabilang sa voting simulation ay magsusuot ng face mask at face shield habang nasa loob ng voting center at polling place, susundin ang isang metrong physical distancing.

Magiging madalas din ang gagawing disinfection sa mga madalas hawakang bagay.

Sinabi rin ng Comelec na dadaan ang mga participant sa temperature check at plastic barriers.

“While we definitely expect these health and safety protocols to impact voting hours and the number of voters that may be allowed to vote at a given time, we are confident that this activity will help us to streamline the overall voting experience,” pahayag ni Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez.
