P3-M halaga ng smuggled na sibuyas, nasabat ng BOC

Kasabay ng patuloy na paglaban sa smuggling, nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Cagayan de Oro (CDO) ang dalawang container ng smuggled na sibuyas noong October 15, 2021.

Mula sa China, dumating ang kargamento sa Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT) Sub-port sa Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.

Naka-consign ang kargamento sa South Road Consumer Goods Trading.

Unang idineklarang ‘frozen malt’ ang naturang kargamento.

Ngunit, inalerto ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS-CDO) Field Station ang kargamento matapos makatanggap ng derogatory information.

Bunsod nito, ininspeksyon ang kargamento at nadiskubre ang mga sibuyas.

Inirekomenda na ang paglalabas ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention laban sa smuggled shipment.

Noong Setyembre, winasak ng Port of Cagayan de Oro ang P13.5 milyong halaga ng smuggled onions mula sa China.
