Sinimulan na ng Manila City government ang konstruksyon ng ika-pitong government owned hospital sa bahagi ng Baseco Compound sa lungsod.
Pinangunahan ni Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso ang groundbreaking ceremony ng Pres. Corazon C. Aquino General Hospital, araw ng Lunes (October 18).
Ang Pres. Corazon C. Aquino General Hospital ay isang 3-storey hospital na may 50-bed capacity.
Kasama ng alkalde sa seremonya si Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, Cong. Yul Servo-Nieto, at iba pang opisyal.
“We always try to be ahead of the situation for possible uncertainty because we are always certain in the City of Manila,” pahayag ni Moreno.
Dagdag nito, “Pamahalaan nalang ang sandalan ng tao. Some of us paid the ultimate price. But we have to do what we have to do. We have to do it. We have to take care of our people.”
