Speaker Velasco, tiniyak na maipapadala sa Senado ang 2022 GAA sa tamang oras
Nangako si House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco na maipapadala nila sa Oktubre 27 sa Senado ang P5.024-trillion 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA) para maipasa ito sa tamang panahon.
Nabatid na natapos na ng binuong five-man committee ang mga inihirit na pag-amyenda sa panukalang pambansang pondo at inaprubahan ang paglipat ng P65.5 bilyon sa mga programa ng mga ahensiya gobyerno.
“We are very proud of this budget and what it will do to help our country recover from the devastation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. We believe the House delivered a budget that directly responds to the greatest needs of the Filipino people amid this unprecedented global health crisis,” sabi ni Velasco.
Ilan lang aniya sa mga nabago sa bersyon ng panukala sa Kamara ang pagpapalakas pa ng COVID-19 response at pagbibigay pondo sa state colleges and universities (SUCs) sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Dinagdagan ng P29.5 bilyon ang budget ng DOH para sa pagbili ng COVID-19 booster shots, pagbibigay-tulong pinansiyal sa mga mahihirap at para sa Special Risk Allowance ng public and private medical frontliners.
