Mga programang pang-trabaho, inihirit ni Sen. Angara sa DOLE
Naalarma si Senator Sonny Angara sa pagtaas pa ng bilang ng mga walang trabahong Filipino kaya’t hiniling nito sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na bumuo pa ng mga programa para makalikha ng mga trabaho.
Bagamat pinuri nito na ang mga programang Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD), Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) at COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP), dapat aniya ang ibinibigay na mga tulong ay para sa lahat.
“Malayo pa sa 2019 levels ang recovery ng ating mga local industries tulad ng tourism, transportation and the associated industries. We should come up with special programs that are targeted towards the heavily affected industries,” sabi nito.
Bilin niya sa DOLE, kung hindi rin naman maaabot ang lahat ng mga programa, madadagdagan lamang ang mga mahihirap sa bansa dahil dumadami ang mga walang trabaho.
Dagdag pa niya, dapat may mekanismo na malalaman ng DOLE ang tunay na datos ng mga nawalan at nanatiling walang trabaho dahil sa pandemya.
Noong Agosto, umakyat sa 8.1 porsiyento ang unemployment rate sa bansa na may katumbas na 3.88 milyon na mas mataas ng 6.9 porsiyento noong Hulyo.
