Secretary Ed Año: Wala pang listahan ng susunod na PNP chief

Nilinaw ni Interior Secretary Eduardo Año na wala pang listahan ng mga pagpipilian ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para maging susunod na hepe ng pambansang pulisya. Kasunod ito ng naging pahayag ni Presidential spokesman Harry Roque na may ‘shortlist’ na ng mga maaring ipalit kay PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar. Sinabi ni Año na sa huling linggo pa niya maaring maisumite kay Pangulong Duterte ang mga pangalan na maari niyang italaga kapalit ni Eleazar. Nakatakdang magretiro si Eleazar sa darating na Nobyembre 13. Miyembro siya ng PMA Class of 1987 at naitalaga noong Mayo matapos magretiro si Police General Debold Sinas. “Seniority, merit, and service reputation will be my basis on coming up with a recommendation,” sabi pa ng kalihim.
