WHO nagbilin na ingatan ang pagpapaluwag sa COVID -19 restrictions

Nakiusap ang pinakamataas na opisyal ng World Health Organization (WHO) sa bansa na huwag magpakampante ang mamamayan sa pagpapaluwag ng COVID-19 restrictions. Sinabi ni WHO country director, Dr. Rabindra Abeyasinghe na kailanmgan tiyakin ng gobyerno na maipaparating at maipapaintindi sa mga mamamayan ang mga limitasyon kahit ibaba sa Alert Level 3 ang Metro Manila. “It is important to understand that we are trying to manage and bring back as much economic activity as possible while not putting people’s lives at risk. These adjusting and calibrating are important and we need to be very clear in our communications,” bilin ng opisyal. Diin ni Abeyasinghe na sinusuportahan niya ang pagbaba sa Alert Level 3 ng Metro Manila ngunit kinakailangan na mag-ingat pa rin ang lahat. Aniya napakahalaga ng bahagi ng mga lokal na pamahalaan para magtuloy-tuloy ang pagbaba ng bilang ng COVID 19 cases sa Metro Manila. “We need to continue to urge the LGUs to ensure that access to testing is maintained and we need to urge the population to do everything they can—- to quarantine or isolate themselves if they are having symptoms, so they don’t put other people at risk,” sabi pa nito. Kailangan aniya ang kooperasyon at pagtutulungan ng lahat para hindi na maulit pa ang pagsirit ng kaso ng pagkakahawa-hawa ng nakakamatay na sakit.
