Overstaying Chinese national, arestado sa Parañaque
Naaresto ng Bureau of Immigration ang isang overstaying Chinese national in an operation in Parañaque City.
Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, ikinasa ang operayon ng BI Intelligence Division, katuwang ang Parañaque City Police, Miyerkules ng gabi (October 13).
Nahuli sa operasyon ang dayuhang si Lu Runguo, 43-anyos.
Nahaharap si Lu sa warrant of deportation na inilabas noong Setyembre dahil sa pananatili sa bansa nang hindi nag-uupdate ng kaniyang visa.
Base sa record, dumating sa Pilipinas ang dayuhan noong March 2019 at nanatili bilang turista.
Ngunit, nabigo si Lu na makaalis ng bansa bago mapaso ang kaniyang visa. Hindi rin nakapaghain ang dayuhan para sa paglalawig ng kaniyang visa sa anumang tanggapan ng BI.
Sa ngayon, pansamantalang nananatili ang dayuhan sa BI holding facility sa Bicutan, Taguig habang hinihintay ang deportation nito.
“Despite the pandemic, our intelligence officers remain active in ensuring that these erring aliens are arrested and deported,” oahayag ni Morente.
Dagdag nito, “Let this serve as a reminder to foreign nationals in the country. Follow our laws or face deportation.”
