No Contact Apprehension Program, inilunsad sa Quezon City
Inilunsad ng Quezon City government ang No Contact Apprehension Program sa lungsod.
Layon nitong mapahusay ang road safety, mapagaan ang bigat ng trapiko, at maitanim ang disiplina sa mga motorista.
“Road safety is our priority in Quezon City and with the launch of NCAP, we commit to putting the safety of our constituents first and ensure also the safety of motorists passing through the city by strictly enforcing local traffic rules and regulations at all times,” pahayag ng alkalde.
Dagdag pa nito, “Bawal na ang mga pasaway na driver sa Quezon City. Hindi natin habol sa programa na ito na kumita ang city government. Kapag walang natiketan, mas mabuti ito para sa lahat dahil ibig sabihin, disiplinado ang lahat ng motorista.”
Sa ilalim ng naturang programa, gagamit ng camera na may artificial intelligence technology upang makunan ng larawan o video ang conduction stickers at plaka ng mga sasakyang nagkaroon ng paglabas sa batas trapiko.
Kapag nakapag-detect ang camera ng traffic violation, gagawa ang sistema ng Notice of Violation (NOV) at ipapadala sa LGU para rebyuhin at aprubahan.
Oras na maaprubahan, ibibigay ang NOV sa bahay ng nakarehistrong may-ari ng sasakyan. Bibigyan ang may-ari ng 30 araw para mabayaran ang multa.
Nagsisilbi ‘written warning’ ang NOV at alerto sa mga residente.
Sinimulan ang 30-day dry-run nito sa October 11, kung saan hindi muna pagmumultahin ang mga lumabag.
Matapos ang dry-run, sisimulan nang pagmultahin ang mga violator ng P2,000 para sa first offense, P3,000 hanggang P4,000 sa second offense at P5,000 sa third offense depende sa uri ng violation.
