Sen. Imee Marcos: Comelec pumayag na sa extension ng voter’s registration
Ibinahagi ni Senator Imee Marcos na lumambot na ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) at pinagbigyan na ang mga panawagan para mapalawig ang ginagawang voter’s registration.
Ayon kay Marcos ang pagpapalawig ng voter’s registration ay pag-uusapan ng Commission en banc bukas at ito ay iaanunsiyo na rin.
Kayat pinuri na ng senadora ang Comelec dahil sa pakikinig sa mga pangangatuwiran ng mga nanawagan ng extension ng voter’s registration.
“The more voters, the louder the voice of the people and of God in next year’s election,” sabi ng senadora.
Itinuro naman ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Electoral Reforms si Comelec Dir. Elnas Teopisto Jr., na siyang nagsabi sa kanya sa iaanunsiyo ng Comelec bukas.
Inaasahan na sa halip na sa Huwebes, Setyembre 30, ang deadline ng voter’s registration, ito ay ililipat na sa katapusan ng Oktubre.
