Bicam report para sa BARMM elections postponement inaprubahan sa Senado
Niratipikahan na sa Senado ang bicameral conference committee report ng panukala na layong ipagpaliban ang unang regular elections sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Tanging sina Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto at Sen. Panfilo Lacson lang ang bumoto ng ‘No.’
Layon ng mga panukala na maiurong sa midterm elections sa Mayo 2025 ang parliamentary at regional elections sa BARMM na nakatakda sa darating na Mayo.
Sinabi ni Sen. Francis Tolentino, ang namumuno sa Senate panel sa bicameral conference committee, na ang mga probisyon sa ulat ay layon mapabilis ang pag-unlad ng BARMM, gayundin ang pagkakaroon ng ganap na kapayaan sa rehiyon sa pamamagitan ng pagtatalaga ng maaasahan at mahuhusay na opisyal ng Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA).
