Konstruksyon ng Lawton Avenue hanggang Global City viaduct section ng BGC-Ortigas Center Road Link Project, inaasahang matatapos sa Sept. 30
Inaasahang magagamit na ng mga motorista ang viaduct project ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) sa Lawton Avenue, Makati City hanggang 8th Avenue ng Bonifacio Global City sa Taguig City simula sa October 1, 2021.
“We’re excited that the Lawton Avenue to Global City viaduct section of the Bonifacio Global City (BGC)-Ortigas Center Road Link Project will potentially be delivered to completion this September 30,” pahayag ni DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.
Ayon sa kalihim, malapit nang mapaiksi sa 12 minuto ang biyahe sa pagitan ng BGC at Ortigas Center.
Base sa inspection report kay Villar, sinabi ni Undersecretary for Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) Operations Emil Sadain na maisasagawa ang planong inagurasyon nito sa pagtatapos ng buwan.
Target na isagawa ang substantial completion ng median barrier at asphalt overlay ng viaduct ramp sa weekend at susundan ito ng pavement marking at light post installation.
Importanteng koneksyon ang 565-meter Lawton Avenue – Global City Viaduct ng Kalayaan Bridge na dating mas kilala na Sta Monica – Lawton Bridge na nagdudugtong sa Pasig City at Makati City sa Pasig River.
Parte ito ng 1.481-kilometer alignment ng Bonifacio Global City (BGC)-Ortigas Center Road Link Project na isang DPWH traffic time savings solution sa pagitan ng mga business hub ng Ortigas Center, Pasig City at BGC Taguig City.
