BI, itinutulak ang 100 porsyentong pagbabakuna para sa frontline personnel

Itinutulak ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang pagbabakuna laban sa COVID-19 sa lahat ng kanilang frontline personnel.

Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, base sa datos ng BI Medical Section, nasa 1,875 empleyado na ang naturukan ng bakuna sa pamamagitan ng vaccination drive ng ahensya at local government units (LGUs).

“This is a good sign, that we have gone beyond the 50% mark in vaccinations. We are endeavoring to inoculate all our personnel, especially those assigned in the frontlines, as our way of protecting the transacting public from this virus,” pahayag ni Morente.

Sinabi naman ni BI Deputy Commissioner Aldwin Alegre, pinuno ng BI Task Force Against COVID-19, na aktibo ang ahensya sa vaccination drive.

Sa tala, humigit-kumulang 500 empleyado ng ahensya ang tinamaan ng COVID-19 simula nang magkaroon ng pandemya noong 2020.

Ani Morente, karamihan sa nasabing bilang ay gumaling sa nakahahawang sakit at apat ang napaulat na pumanaw.

Tiniyak naman nito na mananatili ang pagtalima ng BI sa kanilang tungkulin.

“We have tasked all the Division Chiefs to strictly monitor health protocols in their respective divisions. We remain committed to our sworn duty to protect our borders, despite this pandemic,” dagdag nito.
