250 SocMed influencers sisilipin sa pagbabayad ng buwis
Nakatakdang imbestigahan ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ang 250 social media influencers para malaman kung sila ay nagbabayad ng buwis.
Napadalhan na ng BIR ng letters of authority (LOAs) ang ilang social media influencers na sa paunang pag-uulat ay mga pinakamalakas kumita sa kanilang hanay.
Paliwanag ng kawanihan ang mga SocMed influencers na kumikita sa kanilang posts ay ipinapalagay na self-employed o sole proprietor.
“We encourage them to register, and then we have the profiling of over 250 personalities. We will do the investigation so that they would pay the necessary corresponding tax on their earnings,” sabi ni BIR Dep. Comm. Arnel Guballa.
Kayat inabisuhan ang social media influencers na ideklara ang kanilang kita at bayaran ang tamang buwis para makaiwas sa imbestigasyon ng BIR.
