Bisyo ni Pangulong Duterte na pag-‘recycle’ ng mga opisyal, pinuna ni Hontiveros
Binatikos ni Senator Risa Hontiveros ang pagtalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kay retired Lt. General Antonio Parlade Jr., sa mataas na posisyon sa National Security Council (NSC).
Ayon kay Hontiveros, hindi niya maintindihan ang bisyo ni Pangulong Duterte na magtalaga ng mga tinawag niyang ‘disgraced officials.’
“I worry that General Parlade’s appointment to the NSC will only cause national insecurity and instability, given his previous actions,” sabi nito.
Magugunitang napilitang magbitiw bilang isa sa mga tagapagsalita ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict’s (NTF-ELCAC) si Parlade matapos umani ng mga batikos dahil sa red-tagging ng mambabatas, celebrity, iba’t ibang organisasyon, maging ang mga nagsimula ng ‘community pantries.’
Tinawag pa ni Parlade ang ilang senador na ‘stupid’ dahil sa panawagan na alisan ng pondo ang NTF-ELCAC.
“We have many officers qualified to serve as Deputy Director-General of the NSC who are not spreading fake news and red-tagging everything from community pantries to celebrities. Bakit ito pang si General Parlade ang napili?,” tanong pa ni Hontiveros.
