Aniya, pumanaw ang dating kongresista sa St. Luke’s Medical Center sa Taguig City bandang 12:35, Miyerkules ng umaga (September 8).

Aniya, “He was not only my mentor and idol but also to many.”
Nagsilbi si Villafuerte bilang public servant nang 40 taon.
Tatlong termino siya naupo bilang congressman mula 2004 hanggang 2013 habang 15 taon naman bilang gobernador.
