P2.3-M halaga ng ukay-ukay, nasamsam ng BOC
Nakumpiska ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Cebu seized ang P2.3 milyong halaga ng ukay-ukay galing sa Korea.
Matapos makatanggap ng intelligence information, humiling ang Port’s Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) ng Pre-Lodgement Control Order (PLCO) laban sa shipment dahil sa kahina-hinalang laman nito.
Sa eksaminasyon, nadiskubre ng mga awtoridad ang ukay-ukau kung kaya’t agad naglabas ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention laban sa shipment dahil sa paglabag sa Section 1113 (F) na may kinalaman sa Section 118 (G) ng Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.
Noong buwan ng Hulyo, nasamsam din ng ahensya ang ukay-ukay mula sa Thailand na nagkakahalaga ng P4.5 milyon.
Sasailalim ang shipment sa forfeiture proceedings.
