Pumanaw na si dating Leyte Governor at Atty. Leopoldo “Polding” Enriquez Petilla.

Ayon sa kaniyang manugang na si Palo Mayor Frances Ann Petilla, cardiac arrest kasunod ng komplikasyon sa COVID-19 ang sanhi ng pagpanaw ng dating gobernador.

Dahil dito, ililibing aniya ang mga labi ng dating gobernador sa lalong madaling panahon.

Nagsilbi si Petilla bilang gobernador ng Leyte mula 1992 hanggang 1995.
