Deadline ng filing ng transfer of overseas voter records pinalawig ng Comelec
Pinalawig pa ng Commission on Elections ang deadline ng filing of applications para sa transfer of registration records from overseas to the Philippines hanggang sa September 30 sa halip na August 31.
Ayon kay Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez, isasabay na ito sa deadline ng local voter registration sa bansa.
Sinabi pa ni Jimenez na pinalawig ang deadline ng transfer of overseas voter records para maiwasan ang disenfranchisement ng mga Filipinong botante na nasa ibang bansa.
Kapag nagkataon aniya na nasa Pilipinas sa araw ng eleksyon ang isang Filipino na nakapag-rehistro sa ibang bansa, maari itong maka-boto.
