Top-level dialogue ng gobyerno, health workers hiniling ni Sen. Joel Villanueva

Hinimok ni Senator Joel Villanueva ang gobyerno na agad nang makipag-usap sa mga grupo ng mga health workers para kilalanin ang pagse-serbisyo ng mga ito, partikular na ang pagliligtas ng mga buhay ngayon may pandemya.

“Our healthcare workers are already overworked and exposed to COVID-19 infection. They deserve better treatment and they need not go on walkouts or mass protests just to compel the government to speed up the grant of SRA and other benefits due them,” sabi ng senador.

Aniya dapat ang Department of Health at Department of Budget, gayundin ang Commission on Audit ang lumapit at makipag-usap sa mga health workers para sa agarang pagpapalabas ng kanilang special risk allowance (SRA) at COVID-19 Active Hazard Duty Pay (AHDP).

Ayon kay Villanueva dapat ay ipaliwanag ng DOH na may ginagawa silang mga hakbang para resolbahin ang isyu sa matagal at hindi pa pagpapalabas ng kanilang mga benepisyo.

“Ang layunin natin ay umabot ang mga benepisyo na ito sa ating mga health workers sa pinakamabilis na paraan. Kung kailangan, gumawa po ang mga ahensya ng isang chat group para mas mabilis ang coordination. Magandang na mapagusapan na rin ng mga ahensya tulad ng DOH, DBM at COA, at ipakita itong magiging kasunduan sa mga health workers,” sabi pa ng namumuno sa Senate Labor Committee.
