Isang development sa Boracay, pag-aari ng pamilya ni Carpio – Duterte
Pag-aari ng pamilya ni dating Supreme Court Justice Antonio Carpio ang isang development sa Boracay Island.
ito ang ibinunyag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa kanyang Talk to the People, Huwebes ng gabi (August 26).
Sinabi pa ng Pangulo na naging kontrobersiyal ang Boracay island nang ipasara niya ito para sa rehabilitasyon.
“You know, the island of Boracay is a forestal land. Kaya ‘yung forestal land, dapat walang bahay kasi residential. But may mga nakuha silang lupa doon and one of them is the family of Justice Carpio. And to think that the entire island as of now is forestall,”pahayag ng Pangulo.
Ipinadeklara rin ng Pangulo sa Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) na forestal land ang ilang bahagi ng Boracay.
Isinailalim din ng Pangulo sa land reform ang lupa para maipamahagi sa mga magsasaka.
“So noong nalaman ko na marami ng subdivision sa likod, sa beach, I called Castriciones, “Pumunta ka doon sa likod at tingnan mo.” Tapos sabi ko sa DAR, mag-apply ka kay ipa-declare natin ‘yan as agricultural. Kaya ni-land reform ko. So ‘yang mga ‘yan taong ‘yan, ‘yung sabi nila na ibigay ko sa mga ano — ni-reform ko lahat,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Isa si Carpio sa mga kritiko ni Pangulong Duterte lalo na sa usapin sa west Philippine sea.
