Deliberasyon para sa P5.024T 2022 national budget sinimulan na sa Kamara
Sinimulan na sa Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang deliberasyon para sa isinusulong na P5.024 trillion 2022 national budget.
Unang tatalakayin ay ang pondo ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), the Department of Finance (DOF), at Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
Tiniyak ni House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco na masusi nilang hihimayin ang hinihinging pondo ng Malakanyang para sa susunod na taon dahil kasama dito ang patuloy na pagtugon ng gobyerno sa pandemya.
“We, in the House of Representatives, are all set to carry out our constitutional duty of carefully scrutinizing the P5.024-trillion national budget, which includes an allocation of at least P240.75 billion for COVID-19 response,” ayon kay Velasco.
Sinabi nito na napakahalaga din na maipasa agad national budget sa pagsasabing; “it is incumbent upon Congress to swiftly pass a national budget that will not only serve as an instrument for development but also as a powerful tool to decisively defeat COVID-19 and rebuild people’s lives and livelihoods.”
